I owed the library a total of 20 bucks, but only had to pay 6. I was already 6 bucks in debt because the last time I wanted to return my late books and pay the fine, the librarian didn't have change, so he let me return the books and pay off the $6 some other time. So today I was prepared to pay at least $14 for another two books which were late; I figured no one would know about the $6 and I'd just bring it forward to another time when I had more money. (The first day I was supposed to pay those $6, the dude only wrote it in some book instead of keying it into the system, so I figured I'd be scot-free for awhile.) Anyway, I went to the library today, and this other dude tells me that I only owed them the initital $6, because I'd renewed the borrowing period of those other two books--the ones which would have cost me an additional $14. The thing is, though, I hadn't done any renewing-the-borrowing-period.
So in conclusion, I think one of the librarians has a crush on me, because who the hell would want to extend the due date for my late books for me?
awwwww. librarian crushes.
