Listening to: The Shins-Young Pilgrims
Feeling: rejected
The following is proof how vintage thought can get the best of you.
I vote for a world based on love as opposed to money; based on music rather than television; on going shoeless in place of blowing big bucks on material footwear. I vote for a world where peace signs were more common; where hippies still stood at the Seaward intersection; where honesty and acceptance takes place of lies; where acceptance isn't even an issue. I vote for a world in which people have more reason to smile; in which freedom rings in every home; in which fear is minimal; in which color is abundant.
Perhaps the previous was equal proof of how modern thought can get the best of you.
here here.
I'm with you on all that. Young Pilgrims is one of my all-time favorite songs. I can't even describe how much I identify with it.

I read this post before reading what you were listening to- and I made the connection between Young Pilgrims and this post. Anyways,
I agree. I believe you described somewhat of the idealities of the sixties- an era that was probably the closest related to my beliefs.
I came to the conclusion that during summer, I am not going to wear shoes. At all. I would extend that to school as well, but they don't like it when people do that. :(
